The Tampa Bay Buccaneers find themselves as solid road favorites in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos thanks in part to a mismatch at the quarterback position. Although the Broncos are the only team in the NFL with a winning record against Brady at 9-8, they are expected to be without starting quarterback Drew Lock for two to six weeks with a shoulder injury.
Tampa Bay is coming off a 31-17 win over the Carolina Panthers as a 7.5-point home favorite last Sunday, and is listed as 6-point road chalk at Denver via books like DraftKings after opening at -3.5. The severity of Lock’s injury undoubtedly affected the line, with Jeff Driskel set to take his place. The Broncos lost 26-21 to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2 but covered the spread as 6.5-point road underdogs, as Driskel threw for 256 yards in relief of Lock.
