- The Kansas City Chiefs-New England Patriots Sunday Night Football game (8:20 p.m. ET) will likely end up as the most heavily bet game of Week 6.
- The over/under was at 58.5 on Tuesday, but since then, a steady flow of money on the over has pushed the total to the highest ever tracked by our Bet Labs software.
Earlier this week, I detailed the historical context of Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs-New England Patriots (8:20 p.m. ET) over/under. As of Tuesday, the total sat at 58.5, making it one of the highest over/unders of all time.
Despite the historically high number, bettors have still jumped at the chance to play the over in this matchup.
According to The Action Network’s public betting data, 78% of tickets and 80% of dollars wagered on the total have taken the over thus far.
As a result, oddsmakers have adjusted this over/under to between 59 and 59.5 across the market. In fact, Pinnacle, which powers Bet Labs’ historical line data, has been even more aggressive and now has the total at 60.
A closing over/under of 60 would tie the Oakland Raiders-Kansas City Chiefs game from Dec. 25, 2004 as the highest total we’ve ever tracked.
And if it creeps even higher, we’ll have a new record.
