NFL Sunday: FanDuel Promo Code Secures $1,000 for Week 10
Alas, Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers halted their three-game skid in dramatic fashion last week to springboard a Week 10 draw with the Seattle Seahawks.
While Brady looks to remain atop the NFC South, new-users with FanDuel’s no-sweat first bet promo are insured up to $1,000 when they bet on the game.
I’ll expand on how this promotion works Sunday by using Seahawks-Bucs to exemplify.
No-Sweat Bet Preview: Seahawks-Bucs
You can bet anything from $10 to $1,000 on any Week 10 NFL Sunday game. Lose, and get refunded in free bets.
That said, let’s identify what’s ahead in this matchup to compose a bet we like.
Seattle Seahawks: +118 at FanDuel Sportsbook
Seattle will ride a four-game win streak into Munich, Germany. Geno Smith has been the surprise of the season — ranking No. 4 in QBR with a 68.0. Smith has garnered excellent connection with his receivers in D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. It’s almost as if Russell Wilson never left (and good thing for Seattle he did). The lowest he’s thrown for to date this season is 195 yards. At Week 10, it’s safe to say Smith’s output has been no fluke.
Since Kenneth Walker took over this backfield, he’s been the metronome to the offense. Walker is averaging 5.1 yards per carry and has seven scores in his last five games. Despite the Bucs stingy run defense, he should have plenty of opportunity to find pay dirt.
Stunting Brady and the Bucs offense could begin and end with simply keeping his go-to weapons in check — such as Leonard Fournette, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: -138 at FanDuel Sportsbook
Yes, the game-winning drive against the Rams was clutch for Brady and co. But to keep up with the high-pace Seattle offense, they will need to muster a lot more than that — or all season for that matter. They’re surprising 2.5-point favorites against Seattle, which will need to be validated by the Bucs’ best players showing up in Germany.
Mike Evans hasn’t scored since Oct. 2. He still leads the team with 617 receiving yards, but has dropped a couple of big throws in recent. As a threat with both the deep ball and in the red zone, Evans needs to find ways to utilize his rapport with Brady effectively to challenge the Seahawks.
Leonard Fournette has 82 yards in his last three games. The Bucs are in desperate need to resurrect their run game if they want to return to 2021 form. Seattle’s rush defense has held the last three feature backs they’ve faced to an average of 43 yards, so Fournette will have to continue his worth in the passing game should that continue.
Let’s suppose I go with this parlay for Seahawks-Bucs when using this promo:

Understanding the No-Sweat Promo
OK, so I deposit $100 and bet it on this parlay Sunday. This is the situation:
- The parlay hits: I win $276. I also keep my $100. I have a total of $795.
- The parlay misses: I get back $100 in free bets.

A Guide to Free Bets
With free bets, it’s wise to seek higher lines — you see more expected value over time. Expected value is the margin between the real odds of something happening and the odds posted by the sportsbook.
I can only wage with free bets. Win, and I’ll keep the profits, but not the free bet money. Lose, and the free bets go away.
Many books are migrating away from the “risk-free” language. Because my deposit isn’t insured for when it becomes a free bet, there is an eventual risk.
Free bets appear after bets settle. So, say I take the $100 in free bets and place it on this parlay for Sunday Night Football between the Chargers and 49ers:
There are two ways this settles:
- The parlay hits: I score $224. The $100 in free bets is gone, but I’ve profited $124 since my deposit.
- The parlay misses: I’m out of luck.
