  • Monitoring Julian Edelman, Chris Godwin or other fantasy football injuries?
  • Our experts guide you through how to handle lineup decisions around seven questionable players.

Week 4 is here already and it was a busy Friday on the injury front. We’ve got some marquee fantasy football injuries to monitor leading up to kickoff, but don’t worry — our rankers have you covered should any of the players listed below be ruled out.

With this article, we’ll give a brief rundown of some of the players who are entering the week with a questionable tag, along with where our fantasy rankers — Sean Koerner, Chris Raybon and Matthew Freedman — will have each player ranked if they’re active. We’ll also run through which players would benefit the most if the questionable players are ruled out, and who you could pick up on waivers if you’re in a pinch.

Here’s a quick list of the seven players we’ll cover:

  • T.Y. Hilton, WR, Indianapolis Colts
  • Rex Burkhead, RB, New England Patriots
  • Julian Edelman, WR, New England Patriots
  • Chris Godwin, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • Terry McLaurin, WR, Washington Redskins
  • Danny Amendola, WR, Detroit Lions
  • Vance McDonald, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers

Keep a close eye on our experts’ real-time fantasy rankings, too, which will be continuously updated until kickoff.

T.Y. Hilton, WR, Indianapolis Colts

It’s not very often a player is listed as doubtful and ultimately ends up suiting up. Combining that with missing practice all week, it’s unlikely we see Hilton on the field on Sunday.

But don’t worry, our rankers have you covered with their contingency plans.

Fantasy Rankings If Hilton Is Active:

  • Koerner: WR18
  • Raybon: WR36
  • Freedman: WR24

Biggest Beneficiary + Ranking If Hilton Is Inactive: Deon Cain (Koerner WR55, Raybon WR59); Parris Campbell (Raybon WR61, Freedman WR63)

Potential Waiver Wire Pickup If You’re In A Bind: Parris Campbell, Deon Cain

Rex Burkhead, RB, New England Patriots

Burkhead should be trending toward playing as he got in limited practices all week, but he is considered a game-time decision per NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

Fantasy Ranking If Burkhead Is Active:

  • Koerner: RB33
  • Raybon: RB31
  • Freedman: RB32

Biggest Beneficiary + Ranking If Burkhead Is Inactive: James White (Koerner RB18,  Raybon RB16); Sony Michel (Freedman RB21)

Potential Waiver Wire Pickup If You’re In A Bind: Damien Harris

Julian Edelman, WR, New England Patriots

Edelman is fully expected to play against the Bills Sunday, per Rapoport. However, Edelman reportedly will base his snap count on how he feels throughout the game.

So, it sounds like he’s not quite 100% and could potentially be on a snap count.

Fantasy Ranking If Edelman Is Active:

  • Koerner: WR14
  • Raybon: WR14
  • Freedman: WR19

Biggest Beneficiary + Ranking If Edelman Is Inactive: Phillip Dorsett (Koerner WR34, Freedman WR38, Raybon WR33)

Potential Waiver Wire Pickup If You’re In A Bind: Jakobi Meyers

Chris Godwin, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Godwin missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday last week while putting in a limited session on Friday, which is a good sign.

Rapoport and ESPN’s Adam Schefter both reported that Godwin is expected to play.

Fantasy Ranking If Godwin Is Active:

  • Koerner: WR27
  • Raybon: WR16
  • Freedman: WR21

Biggest Beneficiary + Ranking If Godwin Is Inactive: Breshad Perriman Koerner WR58); O.J. Howard (Freedman TE7); Cameron Brate (Raybon TE20)

Potential Waiver Wire Pickup If You’re In A Bind: Breshad Perriman, Cameron Brate

Terry McLaurin, WR, Washington Redskins

McLaurin was a mid-week addition to the injury report, getting downgraded to a limited practice on Thursday, then downgraded again on Friday and completely missing practice.

The team is optimistic McLaurin plays, but he’s considered a game-time decision.

Fantasy Ranking If McLaurin Is Active:

  • KoernerWR27
  • Freedman: WR28
  • Raybon: WR23

Biggest Beneficiary + Ranking With McLaurin Inactive: Paul Richardson (Koerner WR35, Freedman WR32, Raybon WR30)

Potential Waiver Wire Pickup If You’re In A Bind: Paul Richardson

Danny Amendola, WR, Detroit Lions

Amendola didn’t practice all week and is considered a game-time decision with a chest injury.

Additionally, the Lions called up WR Tom Kennedy from their practice squad on Friday, suggesting they’re concerned with the health Amendola.

Fantasy Ranking If Amendola Is Active:

  • KoernerWR65
  • Freedman: WR68
  • Raybon: WR103

Biggest Beneficiary + Ranking With Amendola Inactive: Marvin Hall (Koerner WR65); T.J. Hockenson (Freedman TE7, Raybon TE7)

Potential Waiver Wire Pickup If You’re In A Bind: Marvin Hall

Vance McDonald, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers

McDonald was listed as doubtful on Saturday, so it’s unlikely he plays Monday night against the Bengals.

The trade for Nick Vannett is also a strong indicator of the status of McDonald’s health.

Fantasy Ranking If McDonald Is Active:

  •  KoernerTE20
  • Freedman: TE22
  • Raybon: TE28

Biggest Beneficiary + Ranking With McDonald Inactive: Nick Vannett (Koerner TE24, Freedman TE28, Raybon TE21)

Potential Waiver Wire Pickup If You’re In A Bind: Nick Vannett
