The Favorites Podcast: Millman, Hunter “Waiting For This Moment” to Fade Cowboys

Fresh off finishing in the top 2% of the DraftKings Pro Football Pick’em National Championship, Chad Millman and Simon Hunter are targeting Giants-Cowboys as one of their favorite Week 17 betting spots.

Each week on The Favorites Podcast, Millman and Hunter debate the NFL slate as they decide on their five plays in the DraftKings contest, which featured almost 700 participants and a $2 million prize pool.

Millman is the Chief Content Officer for The Action Network. Hunter is a professional football bettor and Action Network contributor.

Needing a perfect week to cash, Millman and Hunter came through with a sterling 5-0 record, which Chad described as "the most clutch moment of my life."

And despite picking some ugly sides, it was hardly a sweat: Tampa Bay -9.5, San Francisco +5.5, Las Vegas +3.5, New York Jets +9.5 and Carolina +2.5.

Ending in a tie for 24th paid out over $4,000, and they finished just four wins short of the top overall finisher.  Contest rules dictate all entrants take two mandatory bye weeks, so after the final Week 16 slate the duo finished 43-27 (61.4%).

It was the third sweep of the season, with the duo also going 5-0 in Weeks 1 and 6. Week 11 is one they want back, as it was the only time they went 1-4.

Even though the DraftKings contest is over, The Favorites go on looking for winners in Week 17. They're looking at the NFC East for one of their favorite spots of the week.

"This is an NFC East title game," Millman says. "The Cowboys need this game."

"And this is the time they'll let you down," Hunter responds. "I've been waiting for this moment to fade the Cowboys.

"This is so Cowboys. They get their fans back … everyone's going to be betting the Cowboys. The Giants are awful. They've played awful. Giants are gonna win this game."

Hunter said he'll grab New York +3 or +3.5, as he expects public money to pour in on Dallas.

This fits the mold of a buy-low/sell-high spot, a theme for these two all season. Both are also excited about the idea of fading quarterback Andy Dalton in a must-win road game.
