Week 5 NFL Odds: Kyle Allen, Joe Flacco Don’t Move Washington’s or Jets’ Spread

Wednesday has been a big day for NFL news, especially regarding Week 5 games.
Two teams — the Washington Football Team and the New York Jets — have announced starting quarterback changes in an attempt to spark each offense.
Washington has demoted Dwayne Haskins to third on the quarterback depth chart, with Kyle Allen getting the start on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams and Alex Smith sliding into the backup role.
The Rams had moved from -8 to -7.5 early Tuesday afternoon, and the market consensus hasn’t changed following the move from Haskins to Allen.

Not to be outdone, the Jets also made a quarterback move on Wednesday, giving former Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco the starting nod over Sam Darnold against the Cardinals.
The Cardinals vs. Jets line has seen a similar reaction (or lack thereof) from the betting market with Arizona sitting as a 7-point favorite, right where that number has been since Monday afternoon.
Bettors clearly want no part of either Washington or New York, which are receiving just 30% and 13% of spread tickets, respectively, as of Wednesday afternoon.
