- Eight NFL teams have head coaching vacancies and six of those have odds posted, excluding the Bengals and Bucs.
- Many candidates have odds for more than one team, including Mike McCarthy and Josh McDaniels.
Black Monday hit last week and there are plenty of coaching vacancies around the NFL — eight to be exact. All but two teams — the Bengals and Bucs — have had odds posted for who will be their next head coach.
Here are the odds by team, as well as by candidate, as several folks are listed as possible choices for a number of different teams. You'll also find links to specific team-by-team breakdowns at the bottom of the page.
Odds by team
Six of the eight teams with head coaching vacancies have odds posted and odds have already changed a bit for some since they opened a few days ago.
Over the next few weeks, they'll surely change a lot more — especially after the Super Bowl.
Mike McCarthy has become a big favorite to be hired by the Jets, while Freddie Kitchens has established himself as the clear favorite for the Browns.
That could leave Josh McDaniels with Green Bay, where he is the +200 favorite for the job. Of course, he could always stay in New England like he did last year.
Odds by candidate
There are several candidates for a number of spots, including McCarthy and McDaniels, who are listed for five of the six teams and are favorites for at least one job.
Jim Caldwell is listed for five spots too, while Dan Campbell and Brian Flores are both listed for four.
