Opening Line

The Seattle Seahawks will welcome the New England Patriots to CenturyLink Field in their home opener on Sunday, as both teams look to stay unbeaten at 2-0. The Seahawks are coming off a 38-25 rout of the Atlanta Falcons on the road in Week 1, rewarding their backers who stuck with them as the line flipped from -1 to +1 before kickoff. The total flew over the closing number of 49.

Meanwhile, the Patriots started the Cam Newton era with a victory as well, with their defense turning in a solid effort in a 21-11 victory. New England covered as a 7.5-point home favorite, and Newton helped the cause with 75 rushing yards on 15 carries and two touchdowns on the ground. The total fell under 41.5 after opening at 43.

This point spread for this Week 2 Sunday Night Football matchup has climbed to -4 at some books like DraftKings, and it will be interesting to see if that number continues to go up without the usual home-field advantage at Seattle with no fans.
