Nick Foles has done it again!

The Philadelphia Eagles knocked off the Los Angeles Rams, 30-23, as 13.5-point underdogs, making this the Eagles’ biggest upset win since 1985, when they beat the Redskins as 14.5-point underdogs.

This will be the sixth double-digit upset for the Eagles since the NFL switched to a 16-game schedule in 1978.

Here are Philly’s biggest upsets since 1978:

It was Randall Cunningham who pulled off that 1985 upset win over the Joe Theismann-quarterbacked Redskins. The Eagles ended up winning, 19-6, behind a late fourth-quarter touchdown from Cunningham.

With the Eagles’ win over the Rams, six double-digit underdogs have won straight-up in 2018:

  • Buccaneers (+10) at Saints
  • Titans (+10) at Jaguars
  • Bills (+16.5) at Vikings
  • Cardinals (+13.5) at Packers
  • Raiders (+10.5) at Steelers
  • Eagles (+13.5) at Rams

This ties the 2015 season with the most double-digit underdog upsets over the past four seasons. The single-season record of double-digit upsets in our Bet Labs database (since 2003) is nine in 2006. There have only been six double-digit underdog upsets over the previous two seasons combined.

The last time the Eagles pulled off an upset as double-digit underdogs was as 10-point dogs against the Cowboys on Dec. 16, 2007 — exactly 11 years ago Sunday night.
