The New Orleans Saints are 3.5-point favorites against the Los Angeles Rams in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game.

This will be only the second conference championship hosted by New Orleans in franchise history. The Saints beat Brett Favre and the Vikings, 31-28, in the first one back in 2010 but failed to cover the 4-point spread.

New Orleans Saints Injuries

  • DT Sheldon Rankins (Achilles)

Notable players on IR: WR Dez Bryant (Achilles), WR Cam Meredith (knee), LG Josh LeRibeus (ankle), CB Patrick Robinson (ankle)

Rankins tore his Achilles during the Saints’ Divisional Round win over the Eagles. The league’s No. 3 defense in rush DVOA will be without Rankins (PFF’s No. 23 overall interior defender) for the remainder of the season.

The Saints are otherwise healthy, although it wouldn’t be surprising if most of their offensive line is limited in practice to start the week. This has been the new normal for the unit during recent matchups.

Los Angeles Rams Injuries

Notable players on IR: RB Malcolm Brown (shoulder), WR Cooper Kupp (knee), WR Pharoh Cooper (ankle), DE Dominique Easley (knee)

Todd Gurley returned from his knee injury last week and looked pretty much good as new. The rest of the Rams roster is incredibly healthy ahead of Sunday’s matchup.

The absence of Kupp will continue to be tough for the Rams offense to deal with. Their stud slot receiver caught 5-of-6 targets for 89 yards and a touchdown against the Saints in Week 9.

Jared Goff averaged 9.65 yards per attempt in eight regular season games with Kupp this season, compared to just 7.32 yards per attempt in eight games without.
