Professionals don’t bet every game, they don’t always disagree with recreational bettors and wiseguys can even be on opposite sides of the same matchup.
While sharps seem to agree on the right side of Sunday’s Week 4 game between the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans, they’re actually betting both sides of the Seattle Seahawks-Arizona Cardinals game.
Seattle opened as a 4-point road favorite against Arizona, and 71% of bettors are laying the points. However, Sports Insights’ Bet Signals reveal how sharps have approached this game so far this week.
Four signals have been triggered on Arizona with two on Seattle, but it’s not the number of Steam and Reverse Line Moves that’s important, it’s the line associated with each Bet Signal.
All four Arizona triggers occurred when the line was +3.5 while both Seattle moves came in when the line was -3.

Three is the most important number when betting on NFL spreads, so it’s not at all surprising to see some bettors jumping on the Cardinals at +3.5 in Josh Rosen’s first career start while others think -3 is a good spot to grab the Seahawks.
Remember, it’s not enough to simply track line movement when betting the NFL; it’s extremely important to understand what’s driving those line moves and react accordingly.
