Dec. 23 Update

The Bills continue gaining respect from oddsmakers while the Rams took a step toward losing it.

Buffalo moved into the single digits from 12-1 to 9-1 following a dominating performance on the road against the Broncos. That makes four wins in a row for the Bills, although only one was against a team with a winning record (Steelers).

Whatever respect the Bills gained, the Rams lost. That's what giving the Jets their only win of the year will do. Los Angeles slid to 15-1 from 11-1 to win the Super Bowl.

The only significant movement following Week 15 was Pittsburgh dropping yet again. Undefeated no more — and fighting to hang on to the division lead — the Steelers are 25-1 to win the Super Bowl, tied with the Tennessee Titans. Pittsburgh was 13-1 a week ago before losing to the Bengals.

Dec. 16 Update

There's a new Super Bowl favorite in the NFC.

The Packers saw a short bump from +800 to +650, taking over the top spot from the Saints, who moved from +500 to +800 after losing to the Eagles in Week 14.

That doesn't figure to change after Week 15, unless the Saints can pull off an upset over the Chiefs. New Orleans is a 3-point underdog; the Packers are 8.5-point favorites over the Panthers.

The Rams are creeping near the top from +1400 to +1100. The Jets are next for Sean McVay's team.

The biggest move in the NFC belongs to Washington. The Football Team upset the 49ers on the road, 23-15, and with the NFC East title in sight moved to +6000 from +10000

The Steelers continued their slide down the oddsboard in the AFC. This is the third week in a row Pittsburgh's odds have lengthened. This time, the odds moved from +800 to +1300  which puts the Steelers behind both Kansas City and Buffalo in the conference.

The other notable change comes after Monday night's result. The Ravens' win shortened their odds from +2800 to +1600. The Browns dropped from +3000 to +4000.

Dec. 8 Update

The rest of the NFL is still chasing the reigning champs.

The Kansas City Chiefs improved to +200 to capture Super Bowl LV, followed by the New Orleans Saints (+500), Green Bay Packers (+800) and Pittsburgh Steelers (+800).

The Buffalo Bills' odds improved to +1700 after a victory over the 49ers (+8000) on Sunday Night Football

After the Bills, there's a sizable drop-off until the next team on the oddsboard, the Baltimore Ravens at +2800.

The New York Giants (+7000) made one of the more notable jumps of Week 13 after a win over the Seattle Seahawks (+1400).

The Bengals, Chargers, Jaguars and Jets are off the oddsboard.

Nov. 30 Update

Three teams remain above the rest on the Super Bowl oddsboard at DraftKings: The Chiefs (+275), Saints (+550) and Steelers (+600). That trio has been atop the board over the past month, with the Saints surging during their eight-game winning streak.

The two teams that have dropped from the top of the pack are the Ravens and Cardinals. Baltimore was +1000 just two weeks ago, but an overtime loss to the Titans and COVID-19 outbreak have created uncertainty around the team ahead of its scheduled Wednesday night game against Pittsburgh.

Arizona was +2200 after Week 10 but is now +4000. Losses in three out of four games have sent the Cardinals down to just one game over .500 with a difficult Week 13 matchup against the Rams coming up.

Nov. 17 Update

The top of the oddsboard remains the same after Week 10, with the Kansas City Chiefs (+350), Pittsburgh Steelers (+550) and New Orleans Saints (+650) leading the way.

The Baltimore Ravens (+1000) fell behind the Green Bay Packers (+900) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+900) after a Sunday Night loss to the New England Patriots, who moved from +10000 to +7000.

The Arizona Cardinals jumped up to +2200 after beating the Buffalo Bills (+2200) in a Week 10 thriller.

The New York Giants also made a notable leap from +35000 to +15000 after securing a key NFC East win over the Philadelphia Eagles (+6000).

Nov. 10 Update

Every team is still chasing the Kansas City Chiefs (+350), but the top of the Super Bowl oddsboard received a shake-up after Week 9.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are now in second at (+550), while he Saints (+700) jumped up to third after handily defeating the Buccaneers (+900) in Week 9 and securing an overtime win over the Bears (+7500) in Week 8.

The reigning NFC champion 49ers dropped to +6000 after two straight losses, and the Patriots' odds dropped to +10000 after losing to the Bills (+1800) and narrowly defeating the Jets (+250000) on Monday Night Football.

The Vikings made a notable leap, improving from +20000 to +10000 after back-to-back wins over the Packers (+100) and Lions (+15000).

Oct. 27 Update

Every team on the oddsboard is still chasing the Kansas City Chiefs (+400) and Baltimore Ravens (+600), but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Pittsburgh Steelers are closing in quickly after Week 7 victories.

The Buccaneers jumped from +1200 to +800 after handily defeating the Raiders (+6600) on Sunday. The Steelers moved from +1100 to +850 after an overtime win against the Titans (+2000).

The Seahawks dropped to +1000, while the Packers remain at +1100. The Saints (+1400), Rams (+1700) and Titans round out the top 10.

Notable drops include the Patriots (+3300 to +6000, Bears (+3000 to +5000) and aforementioned Raiders (+3000 to +6600).

After a dominant Week 7 win over the Cowboys (+10000), the Washington Football Team's odds moved from +40000 to +15000.

Oct. 22 Update

The top three teams — Chiefs (+400), Ravens (+600) and Seahawks (+750) — are holding steady after Week 6, but the Steelers and Packers are now tied with the fourth-best odds at +1100.

Notable risers include the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+1200), who secured a dominant Week 6 win over Green Bay on Sunday, and the Tennessee Titans (+1500), who topped the Texans (+15000) in overtime.

The 49ers (+4000 to +3300) also improved their odds with a win over the Rams (+2200).

The teams at the bottom of the oddsboard tumbled even further after Week 6, with the Jets falling all the way to +100000 after a shutout loss to the Dolphins (+10000).

Oct. 15 Update

The top of the oddsboard remains the same after Week 5 with the Chiefs (+400), Ravens (+550), Seahawks (+800) and Packers (+1000) leading the way.

A handful of teams improved their odds this week, including the Saints (+1400 to +1200), Steelers (+1800 to +1400), Rams (+2200 to +1800), Titans (+3000 to +1800) and Browns (+3500 to +2800).

The 49ers' odds dropped again after a Week 5 loss to the Dolphins. The reigning NFC champions now sit at +4000 to win the Super Bowl.

Oct. 7 Update

The league's elite only increased the gap on the Super Bowl oddsboard this week, as the Chiefs (+400 to +350), Ravens (+650 to +600), Seahawks (+1000 to +800) and Packers (+1400 to +1000) all won in Week 4. Of that group, the Packers implied-probability increase was the greatest (6.67% to 9.09%).

Notably moving in the other direction were the 49ers and Cowboys. The reigning NFC champs saw their odds fall from +1600 to +2500 following a Sunday night loss to the Eagles, and Dallas' loss to the Browns sent the 'Boys from +1800 to +3000.

And a bit further down the list, the Bears were another one of the most impacted teams from Week 4. Chicago's implied Super Bowl chances fell from 2.94% (+3300) to 1.96% (+5000) after an ugly 19-11 loss to Indy.

Sept. 30 Update

Monday Night Football’s matchup of AFC elite broke a tie atop the Super Bowl odds, with the Chiefs moving from +500 to +400. Baltimore fell to +650 in defeat.

The Seahawks moved into third at +1000 with a win over Dallas, while the Packers, Saints and Buccaneers are now in a three-way tie at +1400, courtesy of Green Bay and Tampa Bay's wins.

A win in the desert moved the Lions up from +10000 to +8000, while the Cardinals fell from +2500 to +3000 with their late loss to Detroit.

Of the remaining winless teams, the 0-2-1 Eagles have the best chance at +5000. The Vikings lead the 0-3 clubs at +6600.

The Jets were already at the bottom, but their odds fell from +20000 to +30000 thanks to a blowout loss to the Colts, who moved from +3000 to +2500.

Sept. 23 Update

Injuries were the theme of Week 2, and no team was hit harder than the San Francisco 49ers:

• Reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year Nick Bosa suffered a season-ending ACL tear.
• Fellow defensive lineman Solomon Thomas also suffered a season-ending ACL tear.
• Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo suffered a high ankle sprain and is considered day-to-day.
• Running back Raheem Mostert suffered a sprained MCL that could sideline for Week 3.
• Running back Tevin Coleman sustained a knee injury that could sideline him for multiple weeks.

The Niners' odds to win the Super Bowl have fallen from +1200 heading into last week to +2000 coming out of it.

As for the risers, among the most notable were the Buffalo Bills, who improved to 2-0 and sit atop the AFC East. After sitting at +2800 last week, they are now up to +2000.

Sept. 16 Update

After Week 1 of the NFL season, more teams have fallen down the odds board.

The San Francisco 49ers are among those squads, giving up sole possession of the third-shortest odds following a loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

That allowed the New Orleans Saints to snag the third-shortest odds at most books after they toppled Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Bucs, who shot up odds boards after signing Brady and Rob Gronkowski, fell from 15-1 to 18-1. Despite ranking fifth, they still don't own the highest odds in the NFC South.

The Minnesota Vikings had one of the biggest drifts, going from 25-1 to 40-1 after getting destroyed by the Green Bay Packers in Minnesota. That game also led to Green Bay rising to 31-1 from 35-1.

The Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles suffered significant setbacks after losing to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Washington Football Team, respectively. Both teams were 25-1 before Week 1, but the Colts fell to 33-1, and the Eagles now sit at 30-1.

At shorter than 20-1 odds, the Dallas Cowboys and Buccaneers both fell. The Cowboys entered the season at 17-1 before pivoting to 20-1, while the Bucs went from 15-1 to 18-1.

The Kansas City Chiefs are still the favorites after an impressive victory over the Houston Texans, while the Baltimore Ravens are close behind. The Chiefs lead the league at 11-2, and the Ravens trail at 13-2.

Sept. 9 Update

With no public training camp or preseason, we haven't gotten to see any of these teams. That's led to less buzz than a normal lead up to the NFL season.

Since June, a few teams have drifted. The Rams have fallen to 50-1, the Jets from 80-1 to 120-1. The Lions have moved inside 100-1 (they're among our most undervalued teams entering this season).

June 28 Update

The next domino of 2020 NFL offseason has fallen, as on Sunday evening the New England Patriots signed quarterback Cam Newton to a one-year deal.

The former MVP had been linked to several teams as potential destinations after the Panthers let him go in late March, but as those teams gradually filled their respective gaps at the quarterback position, the Patriots were left as the most likely option — at least according to the betting market.

Earlier this month, New England was listed as the +300 favorite to land Cam.

As for how the betting market now views the Patriots' Super Bowl chances, they have adjusted positively. The previous 25-1 odds at PointsBet are now up to 20-1, putting the Pats as the seventh-most likely champions.

The Kansas City Chiefs remain the favorites to repeat as Super Bowl champions at 5-1 odds, followed by the Baltimore Ravens at 6-1.

With new LT Trent Williams — acquired via trade with the Washington Redskins — the San Francisco 49ers (9-1) sit alone with the third-best Super Bowl odds.

Speaking of the Redskins, Ron Rivera's team has the second-longest odds to win Super Bowl 55 at 150-1.

And with new quarterback Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski returning from retirement, the Tampa Bay Bucs are trendy Super Bowl picks at 10-1.
