  • Sunday's Tennessee Titans-New York Giants game will be played in unpleasant conditions, including temperatures around 40 degrees, wind speeds of more than 10 mph and rain showers.
  • The over/under has bounced around since opening, but most recently dropped from 44 to 43.5.
  • Historically, unders have hit at over a 55% rate in games with double-digit wind speeds, according to our Bet Labs data.

The weather in East Rutherford, N.J. is expected to be cold, wet and windy for the Tennessee Titans-New York Giants Week 15 game.

Giants fans planning to attend got their first bit of bad news when Odell Beckham Jr. was ruled out thanks to a quad injury.

The second bit of bad news will be delivered by the poor souls like myself who report the weather. Sometimes we’re right, sometimes we’re wrong, sometimes we’re intentionally wrong to free up the golf course.

The forecast calls for temperatures around 40 degrees and sustained 15 mph winds.

There will also be “periods of rain” throughout the day, and more than a 50% chance of precipitation during the game. It’s going to be raining for much of Saturday as well, ensuring some moist field conditions.

Historically, games with wind speeds of at least 10 mph have gone under 55.4% of the time, according to our Bet Labs data.

This over/under has seen some intriguing betting activity to say the least. It opened at 44, dropped to 42.5 by Monday afternoon, went back up to 44 on Wednesday afternoon and has since fallen back to 43.5.

To my surprise, 68% of bets are actually on the over. Perhaps the public believes each team can keep up their offensive eruptions from last week.

Derrick Henry and the Titans torched the Jaguars for 30 points, while the Beckham-less Giants had their highest-scoring game of the season, putting up a 40-burger against the Redskins.

The spread has also attracted sharp action, with Tennessee flipping from a dog to favorite.

It’s not the most alluring game from an entertainment perspective, but definitely one you’ll want to keep an eye on from a betting standpoint.
