Joe  @pointshaving   and I put our heads together to come up with our consensus play of the day on the ice.

Wednesday recap:

Got the best of the line before the Auston Matthews announcement, but Devan Dubnyk was not up for the task. The Wild outshot the Leafs 37-19, but Frederik Anderson was simply better in net.

Moving on to Thursday…

Flyers -114

The Philadelphia Flyers (7-6-1) welcome the Chicago Blackhawks (7-6-2) to the Wells Fargo Center for a rematch between two non-conference opponents. These two met on the first of this month, and the Blackhawks came away with a 3-0 shutout win. As has been the case often times this season, Corey Crawford (1.77 GAA, .945 SV%) continues to mask the defensive struggles of the Blackhawks who sport the National Hockey League's third-worst xGA/60 at 5-on-5 (2.70).

The Flyers have been relatively inconsistent, but there should be no shortage of motivation not only for the payback from last week, but also the fact that they have dropped three consecutive home games. Solving Corey Crawford will be the biggest hurdle, but Crawford has fared much worse on the road than at home over the past two seasons. Have a look:

Home

2016-17: 16-7-3 (2.24 GAA, .928 SV%)
2015-16: 20-9-2 (1.85 GAA, .940 SV%)

Road

2016-17: 16-11-1 (2.85 GAA, .909 SV%)
2015-16: 15-9-3 (2.99 GAA, .905 SV%)

All in all, the Philadelphia Flyers represent a solid option tonight as Chicago has never had much success in Philadelphia, dropping 13 of their last 14 visits to the City of Brotherly Love. Look for Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek to put together a nice game in a rematch of the 2010 Stanley Cup Finals.

Fair Odds: Flyers -125

Nothing else on the ice for Thursday.

YTD: 16-13-1 +2.35 units
