Caesars Mobile App & Website Review

Caesars overhauled its app and website in mid-2021 after completing its acquisition of William Hill. Six years into their U.S. product, Caesars does still struggle a bit with navigation and finding certain bet types. This is a holdover from integrating/converting the William Hill product into their own, in most cases.

For any non-traditional sport, you can’t find all the available bet types through a single path. Take golf for example – if you click on the “Golf” tab along the top navigation during a tournament, the only market you’ll see is the live first round leader. You then have to click another button (which doesn’t advertise itself as “clickable” necessarily) to find the outright odds for the entire tournament. This isn’t a problem unique to Caesars – many sportsbook interfaces were built for desktop users in the early 2000s, and haven’t really evolved since then – but it feels like low-hanging fruit to make your bets … findable.

Caesars has definitely made some improvements in certain interfaces, but not all. At DraftKings and bet365, you can look at certain markets at the league-level – i.e. you can see every player in the NBA’s odds for a triple-double that night (at least the players posted). If that’s something you know you want to bet, it’s nice to scroll through them all at once. At Caesars, you have to click into the specific games to see triple-double lines, or any other prop. You can’t see them all at once.

The old browser version of Caesars was not their best. The basics were there, including live betting, but it didn't have anything that stood out to attract new bettors. New website features include:

• New and improved Odds Boost page.
• Promotions have a perfect layout for the customer to easily choose what's best for you. While browsing at sports games, the top advertisements are featured in a banner ad across the top of the screen.
• All sports are easy to find, listed both on the top of the screen and on the left side.

In general, Caesars has standard deposit and withdrawal options in line with the rest of the industry.

• In addition to pregame bets, Caesars also offers live wagering on many of the sports listed. Each sport has many other bet types, from prop bets, alternate lines on spreads, in-game opportunities, and more.

I commend Caesars for being one of the only sportsbooks in the U.S. to accept larger bets on niche markets. Unless your account is truly limited, their first reaction to a bet on something like NASCAR’s Xfinity Series isn’t to automatically reject it. They may review the bet, look at your account, and then accept the bet and move the line after. Too many other sportsbooks are in the habit of flat-out not allowing the bet, and then not bothering to move the line. What’s the point of even offering the market if that’s the case?

And if you’re a real high-roller, Caesars took some of the biggest wagers in the U.S. on the Super Bowl. Betting $1 million on a single game isn’t as easy as just depositing and betting – and this applies to 0.0001% of bettors – but they will facilitate that type of bet depending on who you are.

Featured Bet Type: Same Game Parlay (SGP) Coverage

A Same Game or Single Game Parlay is a parlay that consists of connected bets with outcomes to be determined in one match. These parlays allow bettors to link together multiple markets/props from the same game with the hope of high return. 

Same game parlays are a stand-out feature at Caesars. This is particularly clear for the NFL. While most books offer receiving yards, rushing yards , and passing yards, Caesars has all kinds of player props and allows users to build in different types, including:

• Longest pass/catch
• Total interceptions
• Completions
• Pass attempts
• Rush attempts
• Passing T.D.'s
• Kicker player props
• Defensive player o/u's (tackles) - not seen anywhere else

The NFL's same game parlays included almost every player prop available. Many sportsbooks don't have props like rushing attempts, pass attempts, and receptions for the same game parlays. 

It also stands out compared to books like bet365 and BetMGM is with its SGP-editing feature. You don’t have to build the SGP, then add it to the bet slip, then delete it and start over if you want to edit that SGP. Caesars vs. Other Sportsbooks

• Caesars does not have the best overall pricing edge for any sport.
