World Cup Round of 16 Matchups and Odds

We're almost into the business portion of the World Cup. The group stage wraps up on Thursday (June 28), and the knockout rounds begin on Saturday with a matchup between France and Argentina.

Here are the betting odds and schedule for each Round of 16 World Cup game.

Saturday, June 30

France vs. Argentina, 10 a.m. ET

Three-way moneyline (regulation only): France (+141), Argentina (+244), Draw (+210)
To advance:  France (-155), Argentina (+135)
Over/Under: 2 (-108/-107)

France won Group C without much of a problem, although they didn't look all that impressive. Les Bleus finished with two wins and a draw, scoring three goals and allowing one along the way. The road to the knockout rounds was a lot trickier for Argentina. After drawing against Iceland and losing to Croatia, La Albiceleste rescued a late win against Nigeria to finish second in Group D.

Uruguay vs. Portugal, 2 p.m., ET

Three-way moneyline: Uruguay (+177), Portugal (+210), Draw (+195)
To advance: Uruguay (-119), Portugal (-101)
Over/Under: 2 (+109/-124)

Uruguay won Group A with a win 3-0 win over Russia while Portugal finished second in Group B thanks to a draw against Iran. Uruguay made it through the group stage without allowing a single goal, while Portugal finished with one win and two draws, scoring five goals and allowing four.

Sunday, July 1

Russia vs. Spain, 10 a.m., ET

Three-way moneyline: Spain (-155), Russia (+550), Draw (+282)
To advance: Spain (-360), Russia (+300)
Over/Under: 2.5 (+130/-150)

Russia finished second in Group A behind Uruguay. The hosts scored eight goals and allowed four in three games. Spain finished ahead of Portugal in Group B by virtue of goals scored. The Iberian neighbors finished with the same goal differential (+1) but La Roja Furia tallied six goals, compared to Portugal's five.

Denmark vs. Croatia, 2 p.m., ET

Three-way moneyline: Denmark (+386), Croatia (-111), Draw (+236)
To advance: Denmark (+190), Croatia (-230)
Over/Under: 2 (-102/-113)

Croatia were among the most impressive squads in the group stages. The Vatreni went 3-0 in Group D, with comprehensive wins over Argentina, Nigeria and Iceland. They scored seven goals and allowed just one in group play. Denmark were relatively fortunate to escape Group C. Danish Dynamite were lucky to beat Peru, held on for a draw against Australia and then tied France, 0-0, in the worst match of the tournament so far.

Monday, July 2

Brazil vs. Mexico, 10 a.m. ET

Three-way moneyline: Brazil (-193), Mexico (+678), Draw (+331)
To advance: Brazil (-420), Mexico (+335)
Over/Under: 2.5 (+107/-122)

Brazil won Group with a pair of wins and a draw. They scored five goals and allowed just one en route to the Round of 16. The overall health of their squad is a question mark, as Marcelo is a doubt for their next match. Mexico were one of the tournament's early cult favorites after a win over Germany in their first match. Even though they followed that up with a win over Korea, Mexico made it through to the knockout phase thanks to Korea's historic upset over Die Mannschaft.

Belgium vs. Japan, 2 p.m. ET

Three-way moneyline: Belgium (-286), Japan (+625), Draw (+314)
To advance: Belgium (-560), Japan (+430)
Over/Under: 2.5 (-105/-110)

Belgium finished with a 3-0 record in Group G. They rested a lot of their starters in their Round 1 finale against England but still won, 1-0. Japan are the luckiest team in the knockout round as they advanced by virtue of FIFA Fair Play Points ahead of Senegal.

Tuesday, July 3

Sweden vs. Switzerland, 10 a.m. ET

Three-way moneyline: Sweden (+211), Switzerland (+171), Draw (+206)
To advance:  Sweden (-118), Switzerland (-102)
Over/Under: 2 (+108/-123)

Sweden were the surprise winner of Group F thanks to their 3-0 win over Mexico and Germany's failure against Korea. They draw Switzlerland, who drew with Brazil and Costa Rica on either side of their win over Serbia to finish second in Group E.

England vs. Colombia, 2 p.m. ET

Three-way moneyline: England (+121), Colombia (+292), Draw (+223)
To advance: England (-175), Colombia (+155)
Over/Under: 2 (-108/-107)

Colombia won Group H with a 1-0 win over Senegal on the last day of the first round. Los Cafeteros finished 2-1 with five goals scored and two allowed. England finished 2-1 as well and are in the "easy" quarter after a 1-0 loss to Belgium on Thursday.
