  • Rafael Nadal is the even-money favorite to win his 12th French Open title.

The French Open, the second Grand Slam of the 2019 tennis season, begins on Sunday, May 26 at Roland Garros in Paris, France.

Rafael Nadal, who has won a record 11 French Open titles, is the even-money (+100) favorite in Paris. Nadal, the No. 2 ranked player in the world, has won the last two La Coupe des Mousquetaires.

Last year Nadal dropped only a single set en route to his 11th title at Roland Garros, defeating Dominic Thiem in the final.

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic is the second betting choice at +225 (9-4). Djokovic, a 15-time Grand Slam titlist, has one French Open title to his name (2016). The 32-year-old Serbian won the season’s first Grand Slam at the Australian Open.

Thiem, last year’s finalist and one of the preeminent clay-court players in the world, is the third favorite at +550 (11-2). The 25-year-old Austrian is still searching for his first career Grand Slam.

There is a pretty big drop in price from Thiem to the fourth-favorite, Stefanos Tsitsipas, who is currently listed at 18-1. The young Greek phenom has never won a Grand Slam but reached the semi-finals of the 2018 Australian Open and is currently ranked No. 6 in the world.

Twenty-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer rounds out the top five at 20-1. Federer, who is currently ranked as the No. 3 player in the world, has only won one French Open title and it came 10 years ago in 2009.
