The PGA Tour has disclosed suspensions Friday for two Korn Ferry Tour golfers who violated the PGA's gambling policy. Vince India and Jake Staiano were both found to have bet on PGA Tour events, according to a statement from the PGA Tour.

The Tour added in the statement Friday that "both players placed bets on PGA Tour competitions, however neither player bet on tournaments in which he was a participant."

While the two suspensions were announced Friday, their punishments date back to September. India's suspension from PGA Tour-sanctioned events began Sept. 18 and will last for six months through March 2024. Staianos suspension began on Sept. 11 and will last for three months through December of this year.

India has played on the Korn Ferry Tour since 2011. He has played in at least 20 events on the KFT each of the past four seasons. In 2023, he finished 129th on the money list. India would have to regain Korn Ferry status through qualifying school.

Staiano has played on the Korn Ferry Tour for the last two years. He played in nine events in 2022 and eight events in 2023. He finished 169th on the money list this past season and had one top 25. He would also have to regain status through q-school.

It has been a week full of gambling suspensions with two other instances across the world of sports occurring within the past 24 hours. Soccer player Sandro Tonali was also banned for 10 months by the Italian Football Federation for sports betting violations Thursday. NHL player Shane Pinto was suspended 41 games by the NHL for gambling violations.
