Betting this Promo on Phillies-Cardinals

OK, here's a plus-wager you can consider to use this promo on.

Suppose you deposit $50 to bet this Same Game Parlay on Phillies-Cardinals at 4:35 p.m. ET.

Jim Turvey crafted this in his preview for Game 2:

I do think this will be a low-scoring game. The Phillies are strong against left-handed pitchers, but the Padres’ bullpen is pretty well rested should Snell bump into any trouble early on.

[Hoskins] also excels against fastballs and sliders and can handle changeups, and that covers the majority of Snell’s repertoire. If this game is close late, the Padres will also likely turn to Josh Hader, who is tough to hit but presents another fastball-slider lefty.

The Phillies were middle of the road in terms of strikeouts against lefties this season, and while Snell has nasty strikeout stuff, this is a play on him not lasting long enough in this game to reach that number.

• If all three legs of the parlay hit, you win $213.50 and keep your initial $50. You'd also get $150 in free bets and hold a total of $413.50 plus NBA League Pass.

Free Bets and Suns-Mavericks

Let's fast forward to 10:10 p.m. when the Suns host the Mavericks for their season opener.

The books are most likely setting this number low (it’s 8.5 across the board) because of Dallas’ pace, but Paul averaged 13.0 assists per game last season against a similar Mavericks squad. Jason Kidd’s aggressive defensive schemes can work against lots of teams, but a maestro like Paul has proven capable of picking them apart in years past.

Add in the fact that I think this will be a very close game and thus demand high minutes, plus the fact that Paul is in full, early-season health, and I like this number with even a little wiggle room.
