There is a choice between two offers using two different BetMGM bonus codes: The higher valued one comes in the form of a 20% deposit match with the BetMGM conus code TOPTAN1600. The alternative choice is the BetMGM conus code TOPACTION, which will access up to $1.5K in bonus value depending on your first bet's result.

I'll explain more about how these offers will work on Tuesday, but you can use the modules to get started with them before game time.

You can use these sign-up bonuses in all BetMGM Sportsbook states except New York, Nevada, and Washington D.C.

What is a 20% Deposit Match?

If you choose to go with the BetMGM bonus code TOPTAN1600, you can access up to $1.6K in value, but you would need to deposit $8K.

You can deposit any amount you would like up to that limit and get 20 percent worth back in bonus value.

Let's say you deposit $100: BetMGM would give you $20 back in sports bonus. If you deposit $1K, that would be $200.

The only catch is you have to wager ten times that amount before you can cash out any winnings from that bonus. So in this case, that means you'll need to make $200 in total bets. They call this a rollover, and it's pretty standard for sportsbook bonuses these days.

You can use the sports bonus on any sport or market, but if you don't use it within seven days, it expires.

How Does First Bet Insurance Work?

This is insurance on your first bet. You can wager any amount up to $1.5K after you sign up and if the bet loses, you will be reimbursed in sports bonus.

We always advise you to bet the entirety of your bankroll on this since you are getting all the more value whether you win or lose. For instance, let's say you can afford to place $1K on your first bet at BetMGM and choose to place it on Thunder -3 against the Mavericks, which is our staff's pick for Tuesday's Game 1.

We think that despite opening as 2.5-point home favorites, OKC's home-court advantage suggests they should have a bigger edge. Dallas started as the series favorite, indicating market confidence in their superiority. However, rest and travel advantages tend to even out during the playoffs, so we're going with OKC on the spread.

If the Thunder win by four or more points, I would get a cash payout of $1,909.09, but if not I would get $1K back in bonus bets.
