We're seeing a motivated Irving as of late: In the five games since Durant went down, Irving has averaged 38.8 points, 6.8 assists and 6.6 rebounds. He scored 23 in the last meeting against Philly, but that was with a healthy Durant, who put up 20 and five assists.

Philadelphia has a five-game streak and three days of rest. Joel Embiid's status for Wednesday is uncertain, which drastically impacts the spread and total on this game. Embiid leads the Sixers with 33.6 points and 9.8 rebounds. Tyrese Maxley did the heavy lifting with Embiid out of the lineup in Saturday's 129-127 win against the Kings — posting up 32 points and six assists.

Then there's James Harden, who's been pumping out 11.2 assists and 12.4 through the win streak. The Nets could face adversity defending against a physically demanding Sixers lineup.

If Joel Embiid is Cleared to Play

I would consider playing the over on the 76ers team total at 117.5 if Embiid plays.

If Joel Embiid is Ruled Out Due to Injury

If Embiid is ultimately ruled out, then I would pivot to the Nets moneyline at prices north of +140.

Embiid’s absence would largely eliminate the edge that I project for the 76ers down low. Moreover, the Nets have the depth to compete and win against the 76ers bench unit.

Monitor Embiid’s status throughout the day; his availability is key to betting this Atlantic Division battle.

The Pick: Let's use the "Embiid doesn't play" bet at +170 since it's plus money.

While Steven Adams’ presence is not necessary in this matchup due to the Warriors’ preference to play small, he was an edge over Kevon Looney that the Grizzlies no longer have.

I expect to see more Brandon Clarke today and would target some of his props, specifically Rebounds + Assists because he is a versatile big that should play well in this matchup. Despite this, it does nothing to change the Warriors’ ability to defend Memphis in transition.

The Warriors are a transcendent home team this season, and I expect them to continue that regardless of the caliber of the opponent. I got this at -2.5 before the lines moved and I’d bet it up to -3.5.
