Two of the top three states in sports gambling handle reported their numbers on Wednesday afternoon.

Pennsylvania had its biggest month ever in January, drawing $615.3 million in total sports bets, while New Jersey had its second-biggest month of all time, bringing in $958.7 million.

In 2020, Pennsylvania brought in $3.6 billion in revenue, only behind Nevada ($4.3 billion) and New Jersey ($6 billion).

FanDuel and DraftKings are by far the leaders in both states, but there's a healthy battle going in the Keystone State.

Market share for FanDuel and DraftKings, 38 percent and 24 percent, respectively, didn't drop from December to January, but the battle for the other three in the top five shifted.

Barstool went from 13.4 percent share in December to 11.2 percent. Rush Street went from 9.1 percent to 8.2 percent. And the star of the Pennsylvania market in terms of share growth was BetMGM, up to 6.8 percent market share from 2.3 percent in December.
