Wednesday at 9 a.m. ET was the official, true live launch of Maryland online sports betting.
While seven sportsbooks launched on Wednesday, three more have already been licensed, and another 11 have applied. Maryland state law allows for up to 60 licensed sportsbooks, which would be among the most in any legal sports betting state.
