Say we want to place $1K on Pelicans +8 on Wednesday.

Despite ranking sixth in pace during the regular season, the Thunder slowed down considerably in Game 1 against the Pelicans, managing just 96 possessions. So let's go with one of our Wednesday NBA best bets and say we place $10 on Jalen Williams to hit the Over on 19.5 points.

In his playoff debut, Jalen Williams had a solid game with 19 points, falling just short of a higher mark. He could have reached it with one more made free throw or 3-pointer. While his regular-season shooting percentages may not hold up against tougher defenses, he's proven to be an efficient scorer. With increased playing time, as seen in his previous matchup against New Orleans, he has a good chance of hitting the 20-point mark if he plays over 35 minutes.

We like the Celtics to cover anyway. One-seeds that are favored by double-digits and covered the previous game by double-digits show a strong track record in the playoffs.
