Illinois Sports Betting

Illinois legalized sports betting in June 2019, and it went live in March 2020, unfortunately just days before Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19, prompting the shutdown of sports worldwide shortly after.

For a 54-day period during the pandemic, the state lifted its in-person registration requirement, allowing bettors to sign up for accounts online. But that will stop being the case on Monday, July 27.
