Kicking off the Premier League weekend, Tottenham hits the road Saturday to face struggling Leeds United in a game where both teams desperately need a positive result.

Spurs saw a great turn in form when they went with a change in manager. However, the club has struggled lately, with four losses in its last six games in the English top flight.

Meanwhile, the Peacocks are winless in their last five EPL contests, falling to 15th place in the table and just three points off the relegation zone.

This fixture has been dominated by the visitors recently, which I feel has a big chance of continuing with that pattern in this fixture.

Questions Surrounding Bielsa's Future at Leeds

The big question swirling around Leeds at the moment is whether we are seeing the end of manager Marcelo Bielsa’s reign at the club.

His team’s recent form isn’t helping his case, with the Peacocks posting a -12 goal difference in the last five games and allowing 17 goals in the process.

The defensive issues have been the primary problems with Bielsa’s side on the season, ranking toward the bottom of the EPL in goals allowed (56), expected goals allowed per 90 minutes (1.96) and opponents’ shots per match (15.6), according to fbref.com.

Another reason why Leeds finds itself in this situation has been the long injury list in different parts of the campaign, which currently includes last season’s leading scorer, Patrick Bamford, and England international Kalvin Phillips.

Big Start Under Conte Reverses for Spurs

When Antonio Conte was hired as manager, he led the club on a run of nine unbeaten matches in the league, which isn't the form the team has been able to continue coming into this game.

Spurs have four losses in their last six outings, holding a -1.9 xGDiff and failing to keep a clean sheet during this stretch. If there is one positive, it was the big 3-2 victory at league leader Manchester City last weekend, which included an impressive brace from key striker Harry Kane.

Spurs will need Kane and strike partner Son Heung-min to carry the team offensively if they plan to be back in the Champions League next season.

Betting Analysis & Pick

Oddsmakers at BetMGM has Tottenham listed as the -120 favorite on the three-way moneyline to go along with a total of 2.5 goals set for the match.

I only see one team winning this match, but there's a better market to back the visitors in this game. That said, my best bet is to play a Single Game Parlay combining Spurs ML and the total over 1.5 combined goals at +110 odds.

We talked about the defensive issues for Leeds, which is going to play right into Tottenham’s plans in this contest. Spurs rank third in the EPL in non-penalty expected goals per 90 minutes (1.49) and big scoring chances created (37) this season. Meanwhile, the team has greatly approved offensively since Conte was hired.

In his 14 league games in charge, Conte’s team has averaged 2.04 xG per match and 1.6 goals per game during that span. The total has cleared 1.5 goals in 11 of those contests as well.

As for Leeds, 10 of the last 11 league games have finished with at least multiple goals, while its home fixtures have averaged three goals per match.

The undermanned Peacocks have also had a very tiring week, starting with a draining derby against Manchester United that was followed by a midweek trip to Liverpool. They now have to play the early kickoff to round out the slate.

Tottenham will have a response following the disappointing loss to Burnley, with Leeds being the perfect opponent to get back on track.

Pick: Single Game Parlay — Spurs ML & Total Combined Goals Over 1.5 (+110)
