  • Jason Sobel gives his top picks for Sunday's final round of the Charles Schwab Challenge.

With 18 holes left to play at the Charles Schwab Challenge, the final result is still wide open, with the very real possibility that Jordan Spieth could make about a billion feet of putts and still not claim his first win in two years.

Let’s take a look at my three favorite matchups.

Jim Furyk (+100) over Tony Finau

In no other sport would you look at these two guys and make this pick, but Furyk is a wily, old veteran whose game is a much better course fit than that of Finau. I love that Tony’s game is coming around and like him to win soon, but give me his Ryder Cup captain in this one.

Peter Uihlein (-135) over Jonas Blixt

Fresh off a 74 that was 10 strokes higher than his previous round, Blixt is heading in the wrong direction right now. Meanwhile, Uihlein is starting to figure out weekends. He finished 63-64 in his last start at the Byron Nelson and posted a 67 on Saturday at Colonial. Don’t be surprised if he puts together another one good enough to match that T-5 from two weeks ago.

Austin Cook (+100) over Charley Hoffman

Everybody knows: Don’t go chasing after a low one. Which makes this one tough, since Hoffman posted a third-round 63 and Cook had a 65. I’ll stick with the “less-low” guy here in Cook. And really, I like his outright value at +3300, too.
