Despite a racing résumé that includes seven NASCAR Cup Series championships and 83 wins, Jimmie Johnson is a rookie once again.
Johnson will make his IndyCar debut in Sunday's Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama (3 p.m. ET, NBC) at Barber Motorsports Park for Chip Ganassi Racing, with all eyes certainly going to be on the former NASCAR superstar.
When it comes to his actual chances to make noise on the track, oddsmakers aren't all that bullish. Johnson is currently listed at 150-1 odds, well off those of pole-sitter Pato O'Ward and second-place starter Alexander Rossi, who are co-favorites at +350 odds.
Will Power is next at +600, followed by defending IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon at +700 and Josef Newgarden at +1000 to round out the top five.
After a disappointing 19th-place run in qualifying, defending race winner Takuma Sato's odds have plummeted to longshot range at 50-1 odds.
Let's take a look at the latest IndyCar at Barber odds from DraftKings.
