Talented Premier League clubs go at it Sunday when Sheffield United host Arsenal in the quarterfinal round of the FA Cup at Bramall Lane.

Sheffield United, which has won the competition four times, has not reached the semifinal round since the 2013-14 campaign and hopes to get out of the funk it has been in since returning to action.

In contrast, Arsenal has lifted the FA Cup championship hardware 13 times in its storied history, with the most recent title coming three years ago.

The Gunners, who are 10th in expected goals (41.79) in the league this season, are coming off a Thursday win at Southampton.

On the other side, Sheffield United wasn’t as fortunate, suffering a midweek 3-0 setback against Manchester United. The shutout further enhanced the Blades’ struggles on the offensive side for a club that’s just 15th in the Premier League in expected goals (37.56) out of 20 clubs this campaign.

Defensively, Sheffield United has been stellar and its ability to stymie the opposition’s attack. The Blades are eighth overall in expected goals against (42.88), which is a big reason why they are currently eighth on the league table.

Arsenal has not been as sharp as it has in the past, sitting in a disappointing 12th in expected goals against (46.58) and that has led to the Gunners being a spot back of Sheffield United in the Premier League standings.

For me, this match has the under written all over it, and I am making it my top play.

Arsenal has had seven of its last 11 matches finish with two goals or less away from Emirates Stadium. Add in the fact Sheffield United has seen seven of its last 10 home matches staying under that same number and this game is primed to be a defensive battle.

If you’re looking for a side on a small play, I am not backing either club and will instead be jumping on the draw at that ripe number being offered.

Anything north of +200 is something you should strongly consider, primarily due to the fact Arsenal has drawn seven of its last 14 matches (50 percent) on the road across all competitions.

The bets: Total Under 2.5 Goals (minus-143); Draw (plus-230)
