  • After what could only be described as a wild Tuesday in Champions League action, we have another big card on Wednesday's slate.
  • Our staff looks to hit another two-team parlay on the card, with Matthew Trebby and Jeremy Pond teaming up for their entry at +285.
  • See why they're in a "defensive" mood with their picks, featuring Juventus and Villarreal matches.

We have another busy Champions League schedule ahead of us Wednesday, with eight more matches on the slate. That means The Action Network staff has another two-leg parlay for your betting interests.

And hopefully the latest duo can follow the winning parlay we delivered on Tuesday's electric card.

Soccer handicappers Brett Pund and Jeremy Pond teamed up to hit on their wager, with Pund cashing on Sporting via the Draw No Bet line and Pond hitting a Same Game Parlay — Both Teams to Score and Total Over 2.5 Goals — in the Paris Saint-Germain vs. RB Leipzig shootout.

The latest parlay has Pond partnering with fellow analyst Matthew Trebby, with the pair focusing on contests featuring Young Boys vs. Villarreal and Zenit vs. Juventus for the wager.

Check out their detailed thoughts and in-depth analysis, plus what kind of price they're getting on the parlay at DraftKings ahead of these contests.

Matthew Trebby: Young Boys didn't come alive in their opener against Manchester United until the Red Devils were down to 10 men. Then, the Swiss side was stymied by Atalanta in their second Champions League fixture.

Meanwhile, Villarreal have scored nine goals and conceded five through their eight games in La Liga this season. The Spanish outfit's xG numbers say both totals should be higher, but not enough so that I'd say they're a different team than one that tries to win low-scoring, grind-it-out games. That's who Unai Emery is as a manager.

Even though the game is in Bern, I don't expect Young Boys to launch a relentless attack against Villarreal. The Yellow Submarine has seen some of the world's biggest teams over the past 12 months, and they generally hold their own. That means Young Boys won't present them with anything they haven't seen before.

The Asian Handicap total at 2.5 goals gives us the under at +115 odds. I'd play this all the way down to -120 since I see the Villarreal setting up a sturdy defense away from home with an emphasis on keeping a clean sheet.

Trebby's Pick: Total Under 2.5 Goals (+110)

Zenit vs. Juventus

Zenit Odds+240

Jeremy Pond: We take the second leg of this parlay to Saint Petersburg, where Zenit hosts Juventus on what should be a chilly, rainy night on Russian soil.

Things haven't been going well for the hosts, who have dropped back-to-back 2-1 decisions to PFC Sochi and Arsenal Tula in Russian Premier League action. Those are surprising results, considering the fact the Blue-White-Sky Blues crushed Swedish side Malmö in a 4-0 rout in their most recent UCL game.

As for their Italian visitors, they're firing on all cylinders in both domestic and international competition. The Old Lady has played with some pep in her step of late, earning five consecutive victories across all competitions. Most impressive is the fact Juventus has notched three 1-0 shutouts in a row leading up to this affair.

Scratching out a road result and taking care of business is the name of the game in Champions League play if you want to move on to the knockout phase, so I really believe Juventus' class and mindset will win out in this spot. Defender Giorgio Chellini and his teammates know what it takes to get a result, especially in what should be pretty unfavorable weather conditions.

The Old Lady won't be attacking up and down the pitch, either. Instead, Juventus will be compact in the back, keep numbers in front of the goal and look to spring on the counterattack to hopefully steal three road points.

For those reasons, I'm backing the total to stay under 2.5 goals at -120 odds via DraftKings and will lock it in as my part of the wager. This Juventus is too good and could very well notch another clean sheet.

Pond's Pick:Total Under 2.5 Goals (-120)
