  • A 14-game NBA slate gives bettors plenty of options Wednesday night, and sharps are finding a couple games with value.
  • Our tools reveal how pros are betting both Jazz vs Pacers (7 p.m. ET) and Thunder vs. Blazers (10 p.m. ET).

In the midst of a week dedicated to football, basketball still gets its one night in the spotlight. Unlike Christmas, Thanksgiving is an off day in the NBA, which means almost every team will be in action on Thanksgiving Eve.

The 14-game slate also serves as a near guarantee that sharps will find some sort of value, and tonight, both Jazz vs. Pacers and Thunder vs. Blazers have drawn pro money to their respective point spreads.

Utah Jazz vs. Indiana Pacers

7 p.m. ET | FS-IN

A matchup of similar records (11-6 for Utah to 10-6 for Indiana) gives this game a relatively short spread, with the Pacers opening as 1-point favorites on their home court. It also has resulted in a split decision from the public, as 51% have taken the Jazz since the line was released.

But while both oddsmakers and public bettors are seeing this game essentially evenly, sharps are a bit more opinionated.

Eighty-one percent of actual money has landed on the Pacers, serving as the first indication that professional action is hitting the home team (since sharps are more likely to be the ones making big bets).

Confirming that to be the case, Sports Insights' Bet Signals, which track and record instances of sharp action in the betting market, have been triggered twice on Indiana, sending this line up to -2, and even -2.5 at some shops.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Portland Trail Blazers

Unlike the game above, this one has definitely generated a popular side. Even with both teams struggling to start the year, the public has more faith in Portland at home, as evidenced by the 70% backing of the Blazers. As for sharps, they aren't exactly on the same page.

The earliest books to set this line were up at Portland -5, but were immediately bet down to around -3/3.5 — where most shops released their first numbers. And even with the Blazers' popularity, the market consensus is now down to -2.5.

Part of the reason for that has been the 67% of money landing on OKC, once again revealing the opinion of bigger, probably sharper, bettors. And in this case, five SI Bet Signals have been triggered on the Thunder to just one on Portland, confirming that professional action is behind the line move.
