  • Saturday's eight-game NBA slate features two player prop bets offering value.
  • This piece will focus on Pacers C Myles Turner and Nuggets C Nikola Jokic.

Prop bets can be a great way to get action on a game. Bookmakers don’t have to worry about taking a lot of action on them, so there isn’t as great an incentive to post a competitive line.

As a result, props can be some of the most exploitable bets on the board.

These props can become downright unfair when you combine them with our FantasyLabs Player Prop tool.

Saturday’s best props focus on two of the slate’s eight games:

  • Sacramento Kings at Indiana Pacers: 7 p.m. ET
  • Denver Nuggets at Atlanta Hawks: 7:30 p.m. ET

Let’s dive right in.

Pacers C Myles Turner

The Pick: Over 13.5 points (-114)

Turner was limited to just 20 minutes of playing time on Friday, which was surprising considering the absence of Domantas Sabonis. That said, he picked up four fouls and the game turned into a blowout, so I don’t think there’s much cause for concern moving forward. He had played at least 29 minutes in each of his prior four games and scored at least 14 points in three of them.

He has a nice matchup today vs. the Kings, who have played at the second-fastest pace this season. Turner would also receive a nice bump in value if Sabonis were to miss today’s contest as well: He’s seen a usage bump of +1.0% with both Sabonis and Victor Oladipo off the floor this season.

I like this bet regardless of the status of Sabonis, but would obviously feel more comfortable if he were to sit. I like this bet up to -150.

Nuggets C Nikola Jokic

The Pick: Over 18 points (-143)

Jokic is a volatile scorer. He has games where he looks unstoppable, and others where he looks to distribute the basketball more than score it.

That said, he may not have a choice but to look for his own offense on today’s slate. The Nuggets are going to be without Gary Harris, Will Barton, and Paul Millsap, which leaves them without three of their six highest-usage players.

Jokic has only played 57 total minutes with all three of those players off the court this season, but he’s posted a usage rate of 35.4% in that situation. That represents an increase of greater than 10% when compared to his season average.

He’s also in an elite spot today vs. the Atlanta Hawks, who have played at the fastest pace in the league this season. They also rank just 23rd in defensive efficiency, and the Nuggets’ implied team total of 114.5 ranks first on the slate.

The biggest question with Jokic is how many shots he’ll actually attempt, but I the Nuggets’ current injury situation will force his hand. I like the over up to -185.
