  • Bettors have 10 NBA games to pick from on Friday night, but sharps have zeroed in on three: Nuggets-Hornets, Raptors-Nets and Thunder-Bulls.
  • Sports Insights' Bet Signals and betting market percentages help reveal which way the smart money is going in these matchups.

With a limited college hoops slate and only one FCS matchup on Friday night, the focus of most sports bettors will be on the NBA. And of the 10 games on tap, three have captured the attention of sharp bettors, causing oddsmakers to adjust lines.

With start times ranging from 7 to 8 p.m. ET, here's the trio of matchups drawing the most smart money.

Denver Nuggets at Charlotte Hornets

7 p.m. ET | FS-SE

Sharp angle: Charlotte (moved from +1.5 to +1)

Less than a quarter of bets (24%) are on the Hornets as of writing (see live data here), and only a slightly higher percentage of dollars (27%) are behind them, yet this line has moved from +1.5 to +1 — and even as far as -1 at one book — since opening.

With their liability clearly being the Nuggets, the only reason for oddsmakers to move this line toward the Hornets is sharp action.

Sure enough, two Sports Insights' Bet Signals — triggered by market-wide line movement as a result of sharp action — have come on the Hornets, confirming the line change was caused by wiseguys.

Toronto Raptors at Brooklyn Nets

7:30 p.m. ET | YES

Sharp angle: Brooklyn (moved from +9.5 to +9)

At 21-5, the Raptors look like an easy decision for the public as a single-digit favorite over the 8-18 Nets. Two-thirds of bets are behind the Raptors, but once again, the line has moved away from the popular side.

After opening at -9.5, Toronto is now at -9. While Brooklyn has drawn only 33% of bets, those bettors have accounted for 41% of actual money wagered, meaning that bigger bets — the ones more likely to come from sharps — are playing the Nets.

Brooklyn has also triggered a Bet Signal contributing to the line move.

Oklahoma City Thunder at Chicago Bulls

8 p.m. ET | NBCS-CHI

Sharp angle: Chicago (moved from +9.5 to +8.5), Over (moved from 216.5 to 219.5)

Same story, different game. After opening at +9.5, the Bulls are now down to +8.5 despite attracting only 32% of bets and 30% of dollars.

Once again, sharp action has been the reason for the line fall. Two Bet Signals have hit Chicago, but that's not the only play wiseguys have made on this game.

The total has also seen a significant shift, rising three points from its opener despite only 46% of bets coming in on the over. Those bets, however, have made up for 91% of the money wagered on the total, and the over has drawn four Bet Signals of its own to cause the climb.
