Coastal Carolina Over 4 (+105)

Coastal was the talk of last summer, as head coach Joe Moglia racked up at least eight wins per season at the FCS level before jumping to FBS in 2017. The schedule looked like it had four wins, but the juice and the line were moving toward the under last summer.

Shortly afterward, however, Moglia announced he'd take a leave of absence for health reasons. With their coach on their mind, the Chanticleers went on to have a three-win season, including a thrilling one-point loss to Arkansas.

Now Moglia, the former CEO of TD Ameritrade who didn't coach football from 1983-2009, is back as Coastal's coach.

The roster remains young and ranks 56th overall in returning production, and that should translate well to conference games against opponents from 2017. One area of improvement for new defensive coordinator Marvin Sanders must be havoc, a statistic in which the Chants ranked only 91st overall last season.

The spread projections for the Chants fall into the Sun Belt purgatory area, where almost every game is within a touchdown. This is one of the tightest conferences in the country.

Coastal is not favored by more than a field goal against anyone other than FCS opponent Campbell. Moglia is the difference-maker, though. Take the Coastal Carolina over 4 +105, and look for a great scheduling spot against UL Monroe.
