One of the higher spreads on Saturday's Conference Championship slate, this game opened with Boise State favored by more than two touchdowns over Hawaii on the blue turf.

Boise State currently holds the No. 20 spot in the College Football Playoff rankings and has undoubtedly been the most impressive Mountain West team this season. The Broncos have lost just once this season, a 28-25 defeat at the hands of BYU on the road — meaning they've yet to lose a conference game.

In fact, they hung 59 points on Hawaii when these two teams met earlier this year.

Playing in the West division, Hawaii hasn't had to impress as much to reach this point. The Warriors went just 5-3 in conference play, but by beating San Diego State two weeks ago, they clinched the head-to-head tiebreaker to earn a Championship Game appearance.

Our power ratings set this game at Boise State -11.5 on a neutral field. So when you factor in Boise's home-field advantage, the opener of -15.5 is about right.

Hawaii's Statistical Profile

  • Power Ranking: 74
  • ATS Record: 7-6
  • Over/Under Record: 8-5
  • Off. Yards Per Play: 6.79 (11th)
  • Def. Yards Per Play: 6.36 (109th)

It's pretty clear where Hawaii's strength lies. And having the some of the highest yards per play numbers on both sides of the ball, it's also pretty clear why this game boasts the highest total of any of Saturday's Championship Games. Only one Hawaii game on the season has listed a total under 60 points.

Boise State's Statistical Profile

  • Power Ranking: 29
  • ATS Record: 7-5
  • Over/Under Record: 6-6
  • Off. Yards Per Play: 6.21 (38th)
  • Def. Yards Per Play: 5.24 (38th)

Boise State has taken a much more balanced approach this season, ranking 38th in yards per play on both sides of the ball, so the Broncos aren't expected to have trouble moving the ball against Hawaii's defense.
