Despite the AL still being up for grabs, we are looking ahead and making our World Series predictions now.

World Series Predictions

This World Series is set to feature the Los Angeles Dodgers, the juggernaut of MLB, and either the Toronto Blue Jays or Seattle Mariners. The Dodgers are the reigning champions, while the Blue Jays have not appeared in a World Series since their back-to-back wins in 1992 and 1993. The Mariners have never won the American League pennant.

The Dodgers figure to be sizable favorites over both potential AL foes, despite not possessing home-field advantage in the World Series.

Dodgers Win the 2025 World Series

The Dodgers are the best team in baseball, and it is not particularly close. The combination of rotation dominance and star power in the lineup is just simply too much to deal with as Toronto or Seattle. Both AL teams are solid in their own right, but it's going to be a tall task to take down the MLB's villains.

At the moment, the Dodgers are -210 favorites to win the World Series with their opponent still undetermined. The Mariners are currently listed at +210 odds despite being one win away from the pennant. FanDuel Sportsbook sees the Dodgers as a massive favorite, and so do I.

Shohei Ohtani Wins 2025 World Series MVP

Shohei Ohtani is one of the best things about MLB right now, and he's putting his dual-threat talent on display that has never been witnessed before. Ohtani is coming off of an NLCS Game 4 performance that saw him hit three home runs and strike out 10 over six scoreless innings. I fully expect Ohtani to keep the electricity into the Fall Classic for a second consecutive year.

Dodgers Defeat Mariners in 6 Games or Blue Jays in 5 Games

The markets are not out for hypothetical World Series matchups yet, but I see the potential series ending in different fashions. The Mariners are a strong team and possess the only rotation in baseball that can go toe-to-toe with the Dodgers. I can definitely see the series stretching out to six games if that winds up being the matchup. With the Blue Jays, it is a different story. I see the Dodgers trampling on Toronto if the Jays make their way to the World Series, in no more than five games.
