Taking another look at the College Football Week 12 slate, I am targeting the SEC showdown between Texas and Georgia at Sanford Stadium in Athens, GA.
Fresh off a bye week, Arch Manning and the Longhorns are looking for a statement win over a Georgia team that is coming off a 41-21 drubbing of Mississippi State. Like Manning did his last time out against Vandy, UGA QB Gunnar Stockton threw for three TDs in the victory.
Although both teams are rolling, my best CFB pick would be Texas +6.5 (-110). The Longhorns have a stout defense (they rank second in the nation in opponent yards per rush at 2.4), and Arch is (finally) starting to hit his stride. Of course, Kirby Smart is very tough to beat at home, but I think Texas will keep it close.
