Kelly and KS officials seized the opportunity to offer the Hunt family a location for a new state-of-the-art stadium across state lines in Kansas. The Chiefs' lease at Arrowhead Stadium ends on Jan. 31, 2031. The Super Bowl will take place the following week.
While the exact location for the new stadium has yet to be finalized, Gov. Kelly confirmed the location to be somewhere in Wyandotte County. A new $300-million training facility is also being built in nearby Olathe, Kansas. The new stadium will have an estimated 65,000 seats and is expected to create more than 20,000 new jobs.
