Watch Out for Trap Games: Oftentimes in college football, you'll see a big matchup on the schedule and think, "Well, this team just has to beat this bad team, so they can focus on their marquee matchup." That strategy can backfire, as we've seen teams look ahead and totally discount a weaker opponent. Last season, Alabama had a big final-week matchup against Auburn, but they had to face 5-5 Oklahoma first. Oklahoma embarrassed Alabama, winning 24-3 as a 14.5-point underdog.

Practice Bankroll Management: With college football, there are so many games happening in one week that it's easy to want to bet on everything. Just make sure you're tracking your bets so you don't go overboard. There's nothing wrong with betting on MACtion on a Tuesday night, but don't overdo it with the big-time Big Ten or SEC games on Saturday.
