D.J. James

D.J. James has been writing about betting since 2019 and uses his background in analytics to guide his picks. He started betting casually before then but really got into it around that time. He then joined The Action Network in 2021.

Outside of Action, he works as an analytics consultant. Before that, he was a data analyst and underwriter.

When James began writing he wrote independently, but he then joined the team at On Tap Sports in the Chicagoland area. After, he joined Action in 2021 to cover the MLB. He hopped on the college basketball vertical the next season. 

James graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance. He earned an Analytics Certificate from DePaul University.
