On Sunday, my six-year-old sons played basement hockey and 30,000 people watched on Twitter.

It made me think of Nike’s new campaign: “If you’ve ever dreamed of playing for millions around the world, now is your chance. Play inside, play for the world.”

Yes, the ad is meant to implore people to stay inside to stop the spread of the coronavirus, but there’s also a literal meaning for those of us starving for sports content: Your meaningless backyard battle isn’t so meaningless anymore.

So we here at The Action Network want to see all of your in-home competitions so we can have some fun.

Here are the rules on what to submit when you email mailbag@actionnetwork.com:

1. Video had to be made by you or a family during the past week.

2. Video can be no longer than 2 minutes.

3. Send any details about the match with the video. Who is playing? What are the ages and skill levels? If it’s a game that’s made up or foreign, quickly tell us the rules.

We will feature your video on our site and social handles, set a line and let the audience predict the outcome.

This battle between two brothers in their basement is a good example of what we’re looking for.
