Jon Rahm retains his post on top of the oddsboard at this week's BMW Championship, fresh off contending at The Northern Trust. However, it's Bryson DeChambeau grabbing the early attention.
Rahm (+550) is in his tier alone at this point. The No. 1-ranked golfer in the world enters this event off a third-place finish at The Northern Trust. That's three consecutive top-three finishes, including a win at the US Open.
However, the early move belongs to DeChambeau, who opened at +3500 at DraftKings but was quickly moved to +2800 on Tuesday morning. That moves him into the top 10 on the board and into a tie with Cameron Smith and Rory McIlroy.
Ahead of those three but behind Rahm are Xander Schauffele (+1400), Jordan Spieth (+1600), Collin Morikawa (+1800), Justin Thomas (+2000), Louis Oosthuizen (+2200), Dustin Johnson (+2200) and Brooks Koepka at +2500 odds.
Schauffele finished T16 at The Northern Trust, sticking a round of 62 in between three in the 70s. Spieth made the cut, but was never in contention on the weekend. Morikawa and Johnson missed the cut; Oosthuizen didn't play; and, Koepka settled for T31 effort. JT entered Monday's final round just two back but ultimately fell short without much of a push.
Coming off his first win in five years, Tony Finau opens +3000 along with Scottie Scheffler, Paul Casey and Patrick Cantlay. A first-time winner in 2021, Abraham Ancer leads the group at +3500, including Harris English, Daniel Berger and Viktor Hovland.
Webb Simpson (+4000), Hideki Matsuyama (+4500) and Corey Conners (+4500) are the only other players below +5000 odds.
Rahm beat Johnson in a playoff last season to win the tournament. Thomas is the 2019 winner. Keegan Bradley, the 2018 champion, is +7000 this week. The 2017 champion — Marc Leishman — is even longer at +13000 odds.
