The NBA MVP has become a big-man award. That is likely due to the recent dominance of Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid. If you include Giannis Antetokounmpo, the big men have dominated the award for the last five seasons.

1. Nikola Jokic (+430)

Jokic lost out to Embiid for his third-straight MVP last season. Some say he was robbed after his Nuggets went on to win the NBA championship. But there was always going to be a sense of voter fatigue. The voter fatigue likely remains, but Jokic can be so good that it's hard to ignore him. 

2. Giannis Antetokounmpo (+550)

The Greek Freak finds himself in the Top 3 of the MVP race yet again. The two-time MVP has some work to do if he wants to capture a third trophy, but he continues to put up the stats to keep him in the conversation. Now he has a superstar partner in Damian Lillard. Is this the year he proves he's better than Jokic? 

3. Luka Doncic (+650)

Doncic is one of the favorites on this list that has yet to win an MVP trophy but appears like it is just a matter of time. He now has another star playing alongside him in Kyrie Irving. Will that help him elevate his game and prove he's the best in the league? 

4. Jayson Tatum (+800)

With the Boston Celtics as NBA championship favorites, it appears Tatum will have a great shot at winning the MVP award. He will likely need to lead the NBA in scoring to do it as he doesn't produce the same types of assist and rebounding numbers as the others on this list. 

5. Joel Embiid (+850)

Embiid is coming off his first MVP. It seemed he was due to win and that's likely why the voters were willing to give it to him. He will have to become even more dominant if he wants to win back-to-back, however.
