2023 NBA Rookie of the Year Odds Tracker: Banchero Favored Again
|Paolo Banchero - Orlando Magic||-7500|
|Jalen Williams - Oklahoma City Thunder||+1500|
|Bennedict Mathurin - Indiana Pacers||+20000|
|Walker Kessler - Utah Jazz||+25000|
|Keegan Murray - Sacramento Kings||+27500|
|Jaden Ivey - Detroit Pistons||+27500|
After a brief stint as the NBA Rookie of the Year favorite, Chet Holmgren has lost that status at most sportsbooks.
Holmgren posted a monster Summer League debut that vaulted him to the top spot, but No. 1 overall pick Paolo Banchero has since regained it. Holmgren did not play in the Thunder's final Summer League game and finished the event at 14.0 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2 steals and 2.8 blocks per game.
At FanDuel, Holmgren went from +500 to +360 following his first Summer League showing to jump Banchero. He improved from +500 to +400 at BetRivers, and from +400 to +375 at Caesars.
But Banchero has started to reclaim that spot in the last week. He's favored at PointsBet, BetMGM, DraftKings, FanDuel, Caesars and BetRivers. He played just two Summer League games and average 20 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
Rockets forward Jabari Smith is also in the mix with those two. Detroit's Jaden Ivey and Sacramento's Keegan Murray are the only other players under 10-1. Murray made a small move at some books after a 23-point performance against the Pacers.

Who Are the Rookie of the Year Favorites?
1. Paolo Banchero (+350)
- No. 1 overall pick
- College: Duke
Banchero was a surprise choice at No. 1 by the Magic after a rollercoaster of news leading up to the NBA Draft. He was north of 20-1 to be selected first overall just a few days before the draft, then dropped quickly.
2. Chet Holmgren (+375)
- No. 2 overall pick
- College: Gonzaga
Holmgren is a modern NBA prototype -- 7-foot, can shoot 3's, great court vision. He's expected to thrive in space in the NBA. He'll also stuff the stat sheet and contribute in several different areas, critical for winning NBA Rookie of the Year.
3. Jabari Smith (+400)
- No. 3 overall pick
- College: Auburn
Smith was expected to be the No. 1 overall pick. He's another player with size (6-foot-10) who can shoot (42% from 3 on 5+ attempts per game at Auburn).
4. Jaden Ivey (+600)
- No. 5 overall pick
- College: Purdue
Most people thought Ivey would go No. 4 overall to the Kings but he dropped to No. 5. His prices vary by sportsbook, as you can find him as high as +700 and as low as +450.
5. Keegan Murray (+800)
- No. 4 overall pick
- College: Iowa
Murray is a distance fifth behind the first five betting choices, going off at +1000 at PointsBet and +800 at most other books.
