Clubs going in opposite directions take the pitch at Emirates Stadium on Sunday when Arsenal hosts fading Fulham in a Premier League showdown.

The Gunners enter this match fresh off a 4-0 rout of Czech outfit Slavia Prague — formally known as Slavia Praha — in the second leg of their Europa League quarterfinal matchup. The victory sent Arsenal to the semifinals, where it will continue its quest for the title and Champions League berth.

In stark contrast, life has been downright miserable at Craven Cottage for manager Scott Parker and his men. The Cottagers have lost four consecutive league fixtures, which has them smack-dab in the relegation zone and seven points adrift of 17th-place Burnley in the standings.

Let's take a peak at this contest featuring teams with very different futures.

Arsenal

Manager Mikel Arteta's side looked fantastic during its road victory in Prague. The Gunners jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half and never looked back, marching on to the semifinals via a 5-1 aggregate scoreline.

Now, Arsenal turns its attention to life on the domestic front. The club earned a convincing 3-0 win against Sheffield United in league action last time out, dominating the expected-goals battle by 2.2-0.5 margin at Bramall Lane.

Captain Alexandre Lacazette struck for a brace (two goals) in the victory, bookending a second-half finish from Martinelli, to give the the Gunners an easy win. Arsenal has been running hot as of late, going unbeaten in nine of their last 11 games across all competitions.

Arsenal looks to keep chipping away at the points gap it faces in the standings, despite knowing it's a long shot to crack the top four. The Gunners are currently 10 points behind fourth-place West Ham, which actually suffered a shocking 3-2 loss against Newcastle United in Saturday's fixtures.

Fulham

Suffice it to say, the Cottagers probably wish they could go back to March 7 on the league calendar, which was the day they pulled off a stunning 1-0 upset win against Liverpool.

Since then, it has been anything but roses for Fulham. The struggling club is winless following that victory at Anfield, continuing to see its hopes of staying in England's top flight dwindle away. Bottom line, any loss the Cottagers endure the rest of the way will take them one step closer demotion and life in the next season's Championship.

Fulham, which has had a terrible run of form against Arsenal of late that's outlined below, continues to struggle on the offensive front. The Cottagers have recorded just 24 goals through 32 matches, only trailing Sheffield United (17 goals) in the category.

Betting Analysis & Picks

This match is all about one team comfortably positioned in the table and another dealing with pure desperation.

Arsenal has long odds to crack the first four in England's top flight, but a win here would help it push closer to securing a Europa berth if fails to win the title in the current competition. As mentioned about Fulham, things continue to be a world of hurt. The club is seven points from safety, with little hope of leapfrogging Burnley in the standings.

For that reason, I'm keeping this very simple and backing Arsenal at -137 odds via DraftKings as my top pick. Combine the fact the Gunners have won the last six meetings between these sides across all competitions with the Cottagers losing their last four league tilts, and you have to feel confident in this wager.

If playing totals is your jam, I find a lot of value on over 2.25 goals at -129 odds. Arsenal, which has scored at least three goals in its last three meetings with Fulham, has seen the total hit at least three goals in its last four league games.

Picks: Arsenal ML (-137) | Total Over 2.25 Goals (-129)
