NASCAR at Homestead Weather Report, Delay & Live Odds: Tyler Reddick Moves Among Favorites to Win at Miami

Bad weather — both rain and lightning — has engulfed the Miami area on Sunday afternoon. That's been bad news for NASCAR fans: Sunday's race has seen more than 2.5 hours of delays due to lightning in the area.

Here are the details on the latest weather report and odds for the race:

NASCAR's policy is to bring out the red flag when there's lightning detected within eight miles of the track. The latest delay, which occurred after just 33 laps had been run, came as Chase Elliott and Tyler Reddick were battling for the lead.

The latest weather reports and radar show some serve weather looming around the track, so more delayed could very well be coming.

Reddick, who started in 24th position, didn't waste any time working his way up through the field. The 24-year-old opened with odds as high as 80-1, but saw significant action as a longshot. Books were forced to shorten his odds to around 25-1 prior to the race. And now that he's zoomed up to second place, DraftKings Sportsbook has Reddick's live odds listed at 8-1.

Elliott, meanwhile, has nearly identical odds now (7-1) that he had prior to the race. Kevin Harvick (+450), Martin Truex Jr. (+450) and Kyle Busch (+475) are in a tier by themselves at the top of the board.
