Betting Brunch: Matinee Hoops Game Being Targeted by Smart Alecs
We got your breakfast, we got your brunch…we don't have lunch…but we do have dinner with Josh Appelbaum's sharp report and dessert with Danny Donahue.
PJ Walsh already fattened you up at breakfast with a little snap, crackle and pop and now it's my turn to pour some Bisquick and syrup down your gullet with some betting brunch and another game being targeted by professional bettors.
It's that lovely time of year when we have basketball games during weekdays. This is especially the case at our office when some of us (ahem, Josh) are going bonkers for small conference tourney contrarian games.
Today, there are five games before 6 p.m. ET and one of them is seeing a large sharp vs. public disagreement in the early going.
In the first round of the Big Sky tourney, featuring teams from perhaps my favorite region of the country, #8 North Dakota and #9 Montana State face off in Reno.
During the regular season, these teams played twice with the home team winning each of their respective games. Both teams boast homely 6-12 conference records, but with North Dakota holding the higher seed, over 60% of bettors are leaning toward the Fighting Hawks.
Though North Dakota opened as a 1.5-point favorite and is seeing the majority of tickets, they have moved to a 1-point pooch.
You can thank a huge amount of dollars for that, as all of the big players grabbed Montana State this morning. We also tracked a dual steam/reverse line move triggered by CRIS (Bookmaker) around 9:30 a.m. ET, which ultimately flipped the line over the PK median.
