  • After staying quiet for the past couple days, sharps are all over tonight's 3-game college football slate.
  • The Action Network's betting tools have revealed how they're playing Virginia vs. Miami, Colorado State vs. New Mexico and Colorado vs. Oregon.

The college football week got going early with games on both Wednesday and Thursday nights, but sharp action — at least of the one-sided variety — was nowhere to be found.

That's certainly not been the case on Friday's slate, however.

With hints from line movement, betting market percentages and Sports Insights Bet Signals, all three games have exhibited signs of clear sharp action.

Virginia @ Miami

For the second straight week, Miami welcomes a Virginia team to Hard Rock Stadium. Last week's "warmup" didn't go so well, as the Canes lost 42-35 as two-touchdown favorites over Virginia Tech. It was Tech's first ACC win, and its first win against a team not named Old Dominion or Furman … yikes.

It's shouldn't come as a surprise, then, to find that 69% of bettors are expecting No. 20 Virginia to also come away with a victory in Miami on Saturday, especially since opening lines for this game were giving the Cavaliers a point.

Sharps, on the other hand, have put last week's game in the past, and will be hoping the Canes have done the same. Thanks to professional action on the home team, this line is now up to Miami -2, and even -2.5 in some shops.

Miami has triggered seven Sports Insights Bet Signals — instances of market movement as a result of sharp action — since opening, the most recent of which came at -1.5. The Canes have also generated 53% of money on their 31% backing, meaning bigger bets (probably from sharps) are on their side.

Sharp angle: Miami (moved from -1 to -2)

Colorado State @ New Mexico

8 p.m. ET | CBSSN

The forgotten game on Friday's slate hasn't been forgotten by sharps. In fact, they've convinced some oddsmakers to pull this line down to the most important number in football betting.

After opening at -4, Colorado State is down to just a 3.5-point favorite around most of the market, and a few books are even listed an even -3. And that's not because bettors are clamoring to bet the Lobos. New Mexico is drawing just a 39% backing, which means any line move in its direction — especially one involving key numbers — is probably a result of smart money.

The massive difference between the amount of bets and actual money hitting New Mexico has served as the first indication of sharp action. The 39% backing has generated an impressive 70% of actual money being wagered, meaning the Lobos are landing much bigger bets.

Another two SI Bet Signals confirm that to be money to be smart, revealing that pros caused market-wide movement at +4.5 and +4.

Sharp angle: New Mexico (moved from +4 to +3.5)

Colorado @ Oregon

10 p.m. ET | FS1

It's not impossible for public bettors and sharps to agree, and that appears to be the case here on both the spread and total.

Fifty-seven percent of bettors have taken Oregon since opening, but with the line moving up to — and in some cases, through — the key number of -21, it's unlikely that sportsbooks were reacting simply to recreational bets.

The 70% of actual money on the Ducks means bigger bettors (probably sharps) are laying the points.

The over has also triggered the only two Bet Signals on this game so far, resulting in a total jump of 57 to 59.5 on 74% of bets and a whopping 93% of money.

Sharp angle: Oregon (moved from -20.5 to -21), Over (moved from 57 to 59.5)
