There are 10 games tonight with a lot of injuries and questionable players. We'll analyze one key situation in this piece: the Dallas Mavericks at the Houston Rockets.

Note: The information below is as of 12 p.m. ET. For up-to-the-minute news and analysis, check out our live news feed and follow us on Twitter.

Rockets PG Chris Paul (leg), SG Gerald Green (ankle) are questionable.

Injury background: Paul has missed the previous two games due to rest and a sore left leg, and he's officially questionable to suit up Wednesday. Coach Mike D'Antoni recently speculated that Paul's injury is actually to his hamstring, and it's likely the team will be extremely cautious to not rush him back. Green is dealing with a sore right ankle and is also questionable.

Tonight's impact: The primary beneficiaries without Paul have been James Harden and Eric Gordon. Gordon has entered the starting lineup and has led the team with a FantasyLabs' +20.5 DraftKings Plus/Minus, while Harden exploded for 89.0 DraftKings points on Monday after reaching 66.0 points on Saturday.

After seeing his true-shooting percentage slightly dip without Paul last season, Harden has actually increased his efficiency this season even with a whopping 42.9% usage rate.

Outside of Harden and Gordon, Clint Capela is the only other Rocket to average over 24.0 DraftKings points in the last two games. His stellar play as of late has seen him amass at least 45.0 fantasy points in four of his last five games, accumulating 19 total blocks in that span while logging 38.6 minutes per game.

Recently-signed Danuel House absorbed Green's role in the rotation and played 28 minutes in Monday's overtime loss. However, he contributed just four points and made one of his five field-goal attempts.

The Mavericks currently have the third-lowest implied point total (104.5) on Wednesday's slate, but the Rockets have seen their Defensive Rating drop 6.3 points without Paul this season. If he's ruled out or trending doubtful, value could be found on the over.

Mavericks G/F Luka Doncic (illness), PG Dennis Smith Jr. (wrist) and PF Dwight Powell (knee) are questionable.

Injury background: Doncic was held out of practice on Tuesday due to an illness but traveled with the team to Houston and is officially questionable to suit up on Wednesday. Smith Jr. missed the previous game with a sprained right wrist and is also questionable.

Tonight's impact: With Smith Jr. sidelined on Saturday, the Mavs shifted Doncic to point guard with Dorian Finney-Smith entering the starting lineup for the ninth time this season. Doncic responded with a season-high eight assists and the Mavs won for the sixth time in their last seven games.

JJ Barea contributed 39.8 DraftKings points in 26 minutes off the bench and has proven to carry a stable floor with at least 26.0 fantasy points in five of his last six games. Jalen Brunson was limited to just nine minutes off the bench but could see his role expand alongside Barea and Devin Harris if both Doncic and Smith Jr. are unable to suit up.

Doncic has played in every single game during his rookie season, and it's difficult to capture the effects of his potential absence. He currently leads the team with 33.7 minutes per game to go along with a 20.7% assist rate and 57.3% true-shooting percentage.

He also is the only starter to carry a positive Net Rating. With major players from both teams questionable in this game, it is imperative to stay up to date with any additional information after shootaround to provide value on either side.
