  • Oddsmakers are releasing futures for the 2019 college football season, starting with Heisman Trophy odds.
  • Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa (+175) is the favorite, followed by Clemson's Trevor Lawrence at +450.

There may still be one college football game left to play this season, but it's never too early to starting looking ahead to next year.

Oddsmakers seem to agree, as they've begun rolling out futures for the 2019 season. First up, the Heisman Trophy.

Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa, this season's runner-up, is a sizable favorite to win the award next year at +175. He's followed by a long list made up of mostly quarterbacks and running backs, and most closely by Trever Lawrence of Clemson.

Here is the complete list of available odds. A $100 bet yields the amount listed with that player (so a $100 bet on Tagovailoa would win you $175).

Interestingly, the Clemson and Georgia backfields make up four of the top six spots on the list, and the probabilities based on those odds imply a greater than 50% chance that one of those players will take home the award. Of course, betting odds are inflated, and especially so on a prop bet so far in advance.

And formerly of the Clemson backfield, Kelly Bryant is one of the last players listed. In what will be his first year at Missouri, Bryant's odds are +2750.

This year's winner, Kyler Murray, was the second straight Oklahoma quarterback to win the trophy. While he's likely off to a career in professional baseball, you can still bet on that trend continuing with Austin Kendall, whose +1050 odds rank eighth on the list.
